Help Wanted: Club Sponsors & Mentors

Attention fellow Toastmasters of District 35!

We have a couple of clubs that we’re working through the charter process this year, and we’re compiling a list of Toastmasters interested in serving as a sponsor or mentor.

If you’re not familiar with these roles:

A SPONSOR typically helps with the demo meeting, but more importantly they’re responsible for helping with the organization meeting, getting the club’s paperwork in order, and getting the club through the charter process.  Club Sponsor fills one of the DTM requirements.

A MENTOR’s responsibility is to attend club meetings for the first six months or so and help provide insight, the benefit of experience, individual mentoring/coaching, etc.  Their job is to ensure that the hard work the SPONSOR puts in results in a successful, well-run club.

If you have any interest in these roles, please reach out to Cllub Growth Director, Robert Wall (  We hope these new clubs are the first of many!

Promotional Banner Now Available

Are you looking for a new way to promote your club?  If so, we have a tool for you.  The District is making promotional banners available to clubs!

This is a 2′ x 6′ banner, intended to be displayed on an x-frame banner stand.

If you’d like to have one of these for promoting your own club, there are two options:

  • Limited-Time Loan – The District will be ordering a small number of these as “loaners” (we anticipate at least one per division), which will feature the Toastmasters’ “Find a Club” link and a QR code linking to that webpage.

  • Free banner for your clubEach club is entitled to 1 free banner upon request.  Each club must purchase their own banner stand.  Here is a link to the stand on Amazon.   The link and QR code on your club’s banner will be customized to your club’s website.

We’re excited for the promotional opportunities these banners open up!! If you have any interest in having one to display – either borrowed from the district or a custom-branded one of your own – please reach out to contact Club Growth Director, Robert Wall ( to get the ball rolling.

The D35 annual Spring Conference will take place on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6, 2023.  This hybrid event will take place virtually via Zoom and in person at the Abbey Resort near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  This event will include all of your favorites.  We will have education sessions, keynote presentations, networking, speech contests, fun and recognition!

The hotel room block is now open.  Make your reservations today!  For more details, click here.

We are looking for KEY volunteers.  Click here for information about how you can get involved to supoort this event.

Would your company or local business want to sponsor the 2023 District 35 Spring Conference?  There are numerous opportunities available at all price levels.  We are looking for financial support, raffle basket items, welcome gifts for the first timers, and items for the registration packs for all in-person attendees.  Options for advertising in the program are also available.  For more information and pricing, click here.
