2022-2023 District 35 Incentive Programs

The District 35 Awards & Incentive Program strives to reward you and your clubs for delivering a quality club experience. Have fun and earn a little something as you work to meet your goals!

See below for a list of Awards and Incentives currently available. If you have any questions regarding a particular incentive, the responsible Trio member is listed in parentheses after the incentive, i.e. “(CGD)”, “(PQD)”, etc.

District Dollars continue this year!

District Dollars are earned by meeting some of the incentives. These dollars are received via reimbursement when you make an approved club-related purchase. For example, if your club needs a $100 webcam, you can spend $100 of your District Dollars and the district will reimburse your club.

District Dollars earned last year have rolled over to this year. View your club’s District Dollars account balance here

See the District Dollars Q&A here.

Individual Member Incentives

Ambassador Extraordinaire (CGD)

It’s important to support the clubs in our district with lower membership. This year, we’re encouraging members to support clubs with a membership base of 14 members or less (report here). Visit one of these clubs 3 times in 3 months and receive an “Ambassador Extraordinaire” pin-back button.

Beyond The Call Of Duty (CGD)

This is “Ambassador Extraordinaire” for Area/Division Directors. Visit a club in your area or division with 14 members or less 6 times in 6 months and receive a “Beyond The Call Of Duty” pin-back button.

Forward Observer (CGD)

Calling all members! You have employers. You have friends. You’re a member of community organizations. Those people need Toastmasters! Submit a lead that results in a chartered club, or assist with a lead in such a way that it results in a club charter (CGD discretion, max 2 credits per club) and earn a free lunch or dinner at the 2022-2023 Spring Conference

Club Coach (CGD)

Volunteer and be appointed as a club coach, and get $25 in Toastmasters swag.

BONUS: Have your MOT led by your Area Director or another current District Council Member that is NOT a member of your club for an additional $20 in District Dollars!

Kaizen Club Award (PQD)

Kaizen is the Japanese art of continuous improvement. This concept stresses the need for continual improvement in order to achieve high levels of quality. At the club level, it is important to keep this in mind: If we are not doing anything to improve our clubs, we remain stagnant and eventually begin to backtrack.

District 35 recognizes clubs that have been at least Distinguished for 3 years or more in a row. This is a major accomplishment for a club, and District 35 is proud to be able to recognize these clubs for their efforts both over the past year and in previous years.

Clubs earning this distinction will receive a special ribbon which they can proudly display on their club banner and each current member of the club will receive a certificate.

First Time Distinguished (PQD)

District 35 recognizes clubs that are distinguished for the first time in 3 years with $10 in District Dollars.  Becoming Distinguished is a major accomplishment for a club.  District 35 is proud to recognize these clubs for their effort in addition to the recognition Toastmasters provides as part of the Distinguished Club Program.

Fast 5 (Distinguished by December) (PQD)

The First 5 Clubs to earn Distinguished Status by December 31, 2022, will earn $50 District Dollars (5 DCP goals and meet the membership requirement).

The First 5 Clubs that are “Almost Distinguished” having completed 5 DCP goals but having not met the membership goal of 20 members or Net 3 by December 31, 2022, will earn $20 District Dollars.

7 Club Officers Trained (PQD)

  • Summer TLI – all seven club officers trained; Clubs receive a special ribbon which they can proudly display on their club banner.
  • Winter TLI – all seven club officers trained; Clubs receive a special ribbon which they can proudly display on their club banner.
  • Seven club officers trained at BOTH Summer and Winter TLI sessions, club officer pin set or the equivalent in District Dollars (plus the two banner ribbons)

Officer Lists (PQD)

The first ten (10) clubs to submit their officer lists for the 2023-2024 Toastmasters Year to Toastmasters (through Club Central) and email that list to their Area Director and Trio will receive $50 in District Dollars.

District Diplomats (CGD)

Encourage 3 or more members to earn the “Ambassador Extraordinaire” or “Beyond The Call Of Duty” incentives, and receive a banner ribbon indicating the number of members that achieved the goal.

Vanguard (CGD)

This year we’re incentivizing members to submit new club leads. If your club encourages members to submit leads, and club members collectively submit 4 or more club leads that result in meetings with stakeholders, your club will receive a banner ribbon.

Put Your Money Where Their Mouth Is (CGD)

This year we’re incentivizing members to submit leads for potential new clubs. If a member of your club submits a lead that results in a new chartered club, and your club sponsors the newly-chartered club by paying the $125 charter fee, your club will receive up to 1 table of reserved seating at the 2022-2023 Spring Conference. Limit 1 incentive per club.

Phoenix Award (PQD)

Any club beginning the year with 12 or fewer members and building membership to charter strength (20 members) or greater receive the District 35 Phoenix Award.

Clubs receive a special ribbon which they can proudly display on their club banner.

Spruce Up Your Site (CGD)

A good, well-designed website with up-to-date information is a key part of reaching potential members. Make your website inviting to new members, and submit your site for consideration by April 30th, 2023. 1st place winner gets $100 in District Dollars, 2nd place $75 in District Dollars, 3rd place $50 in District Dollars.

Esprit De Corps (CGD)

Reaching out is great, but sometimes it’s important to build the relationships among your members. If your club holds a non-meeting club social event (Christmas party, spring cookout, etc.) your club will receive $25 in District Dollars. Limit one event per club, up to 25 total district-wide.

Getting Into The Community (CGD)

It’s great to be social within your club, but it’s also important to serve your community. After all, that’s where potential new members are! Hold a Speechcraft, Youth Leadership, Open House, or other educational workshop (with CGD approval) and receive $25 in District Dollars. Limit one event per club, up to 25 total district-wide.

Deepening The Pool

It’s critically important that our district is continuously recruiting not just additional club members, but members who are completely new to Toastmasters. If your club brings in 2 or more members that aren’t previous Toastmasters, your club will receive a banner ribbon.

Top 10 in Education Excellence (PQD)

The top 10 clubs in total education awards earned in the Toastmasters Year will earn $25 in District Dollars
