Whether you have been a voting judge at a speech contest or not, there is a lot to think about to make the contest fair and enjoyable for all. Area Contest Chief Judge
Thursday, January 22, 7-8 pm Central

Being a chief judge at an area contest is exciting, challenging, and a terrific leadership experience. If you have never been a chief judge, that is okay, this training is for you. If you have been a chief judge, this is a good refresher. Attend this training by Paul Freiberg to become more comfortable with the role and make the contest fair and enjoyable for all.

Contest Master
Sunday, January 25, 6-7 pm Central

Being a contest master at an area contest is similar to being the Toastmaster of a club meeting. However, there are additional guidelines in place. More importantly, the contest master is the person making the event fair and enjoyable for all. Attend this training by Amy Linn-Strosin and learn strategies to deal with any contest challenge, have fun conversations with people (contestant interviews), and practice leadership.

Club Public Relations Tactics
Sunday, January 25, 2025, 5:00-6:00 pm Central Time

Join us on the 4th Sunday of each month for Public Relations idea-sharing, education, and collaboration. Vice Presidents Public Relations are especially encouraged to attend, but the sessions are open to all members. This month’s session will begin one hour earlier than usual. Winter Club Officer Training Dates

Contest Paperwork Due January 31

Email your club’s contest Humorous and International Speech and volunteer representatives to your area or division director.  If you have more than one contestant for each contest, let us know who is first place, second, etc. The Speech Contest Rulebook and all forms are available at Toastmasters.org.
