We realize that many clubs are working hard to keep their meetings fun and interesting, but sometimes it can be challenging to keep up the momentum. We’ve noticed that club special events can help with this, but that’s yet another planning task to add to your plate – with the single biggest challenge being “where do we find a speaker?”
That’s why we’ve created the District 35 Meeting Support Bureau. We have a number of excellent speakers in our district, and some of them are willing to help other clubs that would like to put together a special event. The people on this list are volunteers that have indicated their willingness to help out clubs in our district by doing occasional presentations. These are speakers that have indicated they’re willing to do 20+ minute presentations that your club could build a simple meeting (keynote, Q&A, perhaps follow up Table Topics related to the topic) around.
If your club needs a speaker for a special event please review the list here: LINKHERE, and reach out directly to the speaker. Other than the requiring them to do this on a strictly volunteer basis (no fees can be charged for speaking at a club meeting), District 35 does not have a “vetting” process for these speakers. Read their information below carefully, and if you have questions or concerns about these speakers’ qualifications or presentation skills we encourage you to email them, attend one of their club meetings, find and view a video of their previous presentations, etc.
If you’d like to volunteer as a speaker we’re looking primarily for speakers that have some amount of experience presenting 20 minute and longer events, and that are interested in helping clubs around our district. This is something that needs to be done on a strictly volunteer basis (no payment can be required). If you’re interested, please fill in and submit this form:
This information will be published to the District 35 website, so that clubs can contact you. You’ll be responsible for handling all the arrangements with the clubs.
