Monnica Rose joined Toastmasters in February 2006 to improve her communication and leadership skills. Can you believe, she was once shy. After attending a Toastmasters event outside of her club, Monnica was hooked on all the exciting opportunities the program had to offer. 
 
Now, Monnica doesn’t meet a stranger…As a retired mechanical engineer, Toastmaster and Board President for Women of Visionary Influence, she has mentored, motivated and encouraged many in achieving their communication and leadership goals.
 
From her experiences, Monnica states, “Those who fully embrace all that the Toastmasters program has to offer will truly have a life-changing experience.”
 
When she isn’t walk/running half marathons, you can find Monnica cheering for her New Orleans Saints, solving Sudoku puzzles or reading the latest book on leadership.

Gala Information & Registration

70th Anniversary Platinum Gala Information

To mark our 70th anniversary as District 35 Toastmasters, we will be holding a District Event on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Our Keynote Speaker will be Toastmasters International Region 5 Director Monnica Rose, DTM, presenting “Platinum Leadership; Decide, Commit, Be Accountable”.

To mark this milestone event in our calendar, we are offering club registration that will allow club members to attend the Gala at a discounted cost. In order to use Club funds, Toastmasters International (TI) requires that:

  • Club Membership must first vote to approve the use of these Club funds for Gala registration
  • Every Member that uses any amount of Club funds to pay their registration fee or receives a discounted individual registration must come back to the Club after the Gala and give a speech to the Club about the information they learned at the Gala that would be interesting/important for the Club to know.

Gala Registration Information [Early-bird Special deadline October 31, 2022]

  • Club Registration
    • $100 for every 4 club members
  • Individual Registration
    • Club Registered: $20
    • Club Not Registered: $45
    • Guest: $45

Gala Registration Information [Regular Pricing after November 1, 2022]

  • Club Registration
    • $120 for every 4 club members
  • Individual Registration
    • Club Registered: $25
    • Club Not Registered: $50
    • Guest: $50

About Club Registration
Once the club registers, they will receive a discount code that can be applied by up to 4 club members to pay for individual registration at the discounted rate of $20 (before October 31) or $25 (on and after November 1). If the club has 5 or more members attending the Gala, the club registration will increase to $100 extra (before October 31) and $125 extra (on and after November 1) for every 4 additional members.

Please note that Clubs with District Dollars can be reimbursed for their club registration expense if they submit receipts after paying for club registration.
